Traffic Summons Evaders Beware.

Perhaps it is the Police's way of diverting attention from the IPCMC fiasco or a chance to get back at the public for all the flak they have been receiving over the past few weeks or may be it is just a coincidence. Whatever the reason, motorists with outstanding traffic summons beware. The police is launching Ops Warta VI on Monday to trace 60,701 defiant motorists at their homes and offices.

According to The Sun, Bukit Aman Traffic Chief SAC II Nooryah Md. Anvar said 609 officers and men would take part in the two-month operation.
Motorists with outstanding summons should pay up at the traffic branch of the district police headquarters or at the counters set up at selected shopping malls, he told reporters in Bukit Aman here today (June 2, 2006).

CELCOM (013 dan 019) subscribers can also check through SMS their summons status by typing summons vehicle registration number and send to 32232.

They can also check their summons and pay the compound through www.rilek.com.my, www.eservices.com.my and www.myeg.com.my

**** OK people you have been cautioned. Remember, the cops may not be in a very forgiving mood if you get caught. So if you do have outstanding summonses do settle it on Monday and if you're not sure check out the websites above. As in previous years at least one of the sites will be accessible. Remember they start their Ops on Monday 5/6/06.
