Let's Have A Real Boycott Not Kid Stuff Like This.
The Malaysians for Peace Alliance (Aman Malaysia) and the Muslims Consumer Association (PPIM) Saturday launched a campaign to boycott Coca-Cola and Starbucks coffee in protest against Israel's atrocities in Lebanon and Palestine.
Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir, who is coordinating the Aman Malaysia-PPIM pact for the boycott, also urged the Muslim Restaurants Association and other non-governmental organisations to cooperate by boycotting American products.
Speaking to reporters after announcing the launch of the boycott campaign here today, Mukhriz, who also heads Aman Malaysia, believed that the boycott would be effective in bringing more international pressure on Israel to stop bombing Lebanon and Palestine.
The move, he added, was also to show Israel and the United States that Malaysians rejected Israel's latest atrocities in West Asia.
He added that Malaysians must be made to realise that they can do something to stop the war in southern Lebanon and attacks on Palestine.
**** This is the heights of stupidity. How much of a dent are you going to make on the US economy if you carry on this silly boycott? If you really feel that strongly, all of you wealthy heroes in the committee preaching this boycott rubbish, remove everything, however remotely connected to America that you can find in your homes, offices and clubs and make a public bonfire to show us that you are genuinely committed and not acting out another sandiwara. Also don't send your kids to the US to study and refrain from taking vacations there. Also ensure that your own business concerns have absolutely no link, not even indirectly, with any American interests.
But I've got to hand it to you guys. You jolly well know that the crowd you are aiming this boycott crap at doesn't patronise Starbucks and those that do couldn't care less. Also your target audience probably relishes teh tarik at the local warung or mamak stall and not coke. So basically nothing is going to change but you've gone on record and have given your half-sen worth of support to the 'cause'. At the end of the day, it's semua-nya OK!

You know how many of our own families with members, many, as sole bread-winners,who are employed by these "American-Zoinist companies" will be put out of jobs if we choose to follow this idiotic advice by our so-called champions for atrocities against humanity.
Get real-lah, Mukhriz,you'd probably be leading this boycott wearing your designer Levis jeans and your designer Hush Puppies loafers and shouting through that Motorola loud-hailer, even as we blog here !
Of course your kids will also be meeting their friends at KFC's and Starbucks and discussing their dad's truimphant launching to boycott anything against the Jews and America sipping their "lattes"!
Get real Mukhriz, take off all 'American' shows on our television and bring back all our MARA students (a little bird told me there are over 250,000) all over the States doing some kind of studies!.
Protest, yes, but don't go overboard by talking rubbish just to please the folks in the kampungs.I too am very saddened by the actions of Isreal or any form of aggression on any weaker nation or person, be they Christians,Buddist,Muslims or Hindus
PRAY and maybe hold a candle-light vigil at the Isreali Embassy in Singapore (Since we have declined to meet the Isreali ambassador's request to meet him when he invited our PM, on grounds of "non-diplomatic ties") until the fighting stops.
I'd call this as selective boycotting !This is so shallow bullshit and we are turning into great bullshit artist !
