Datuk K Gets Court OK And Siti Gets Diamond-Studded Tiara.
Datuk Seri Rais Yatim must be a very worried man, for it looks like the Siti-Datuk K wedding is going to get more publicity than even the National Day celebrations. The poor minister has been appealing loudly for more national flags to be raised, but hey, who's listening?
The public it seems is riveted to the goings-on of 'high-powered' couples like Siti and Datuk K or famous 'links' like Maya Karin and Khairy J. Of course millionaire K is apparently extremely happy that the Syariah court gave its "aye" to a final settlement with his ex. He can now concentrate his attention on the dazzling Siti Nurhaliza. K is also now the envy of every hot-blooded Malaysian. He swept her off her feet with his charm. But our ordinary romeos, ever the sour grapes they are, mostly reacted with envy. "He's too old lah" one group cries. When it comes to the heart these morons don't seem to understand that age or a large age difference has never been a barrier to love. In fact it sort of enriches and rejuvenates the older spouse. With so many 'appropriate age' marriages going to the dogs, it would not be wrong to surmise that it is not age but the couple's temperament and strength of character that matters most in sustaining a good wedded relationship.
Coming back to Siti, for her reception at KLCC, she will be wearing a custom-made diamond-studded tiara from Elegance Club Sdn Bhd. It will be made in Hong Kong. The Art Deco-inspired tiara boasts an oval-cut diamond on either side of it, with the whole piece resting on a platinum band. The tiara will be paired with a gown designed by Radzuan Radziwill.
Finally folks please don't ignore Datuk Seri Rais Yatim's plea and make sure that those of you who normally raise the flag that you continue to do so. As for the ones that contend that flag raising has got nothing to do with patriotism, I respect your opinion. At least watch the National Day parade on TV.
