Wholesome Advice From The PM That All Should Heed.
It's not everyday that we can receive such needed and valuable advice on matters family by the Prime Minister himself. As busy as he is and with this and that 'crisis' plaguing him he still took time out to give the following advice to all Malaysians.
Value family members while they are alive and shower them with all the love so that there will be no sense of guilt later. That is the advice from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi when launching the Royal Malaysia Police Family Day at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa here.
He said that everyone should value their family members, be they parents, spouse or children and give them ample love so that they feel loved. "This includes the husband-wife relationship. When the husband is gone, we don't want the wife to feel guilty about not having done this or that. Similarly, when the wife is gone, the husband should not regret not having given her enough love," he said.
Abdullah said family love was not something that came naturally and so must be nurtured. "Sometimes we feel fed-up, but don't give in to this feeling, instead continue to shower love on all our family members." Happiness in the family is important to everyone, in line with the theme "My family, my heaven", and I Hope that all Malaysians will nurture this theme in their daily lives," he added.
**** We all know of the PM's own loss as well as the fact that he has been a good father and husband. His advice comes through experience and an appreciation of good family values. Something for all of us to learn and emulate.
