Chinese Wayang Kulit - Selangor MCA Forms Shadow State Exco Line-Up To 'Monitor' Pakatan Rakyat
The Selangor MCA has formed its shadow state exco line-up to keep an eye on the Pakatan Rakyat state government’s policies and conduct.State MCA chairman Datuk Ch’ng Toh Eng said the line-up, consisting of 11 state assemblymen and state MCA committee members, would have matching portfolios of the excos appointed by the new state government.
“The shadow exco will play a watchdog role to monitor the state government and ensure the interest of the public is protected.
“Our aim is also to ensure the new government delivers on promises made to the people during the general election,” he told a press conference at the state MCA headquarters yesterday.
Ch’ng, who heads the shadow committee, said they would evaluate and record the performance of the new government, and provide feedback through various channels.
He claimed that although Pakatan took over the state’s administration from Barisan Nasional four weeks ago, it had yet to show results from its own plans.
Ch’ng added that the Pakatan government had left out a few areas in the exco portfolio that needed much attention, such as rural development, culture and unity. (The Star)
***** What a joke! When these buggers were in power they could do nothing about the rampant corruption which the Toyol and his cronies were practising without any qualms. In fact these mca-puteras were active partners-in-slime. Now that they have been unceremoniously given the boot by a totally fed up public, they want to play shadow games. It'll take more than their MCA-style wayang kulit to win back the support of the people as well as their long lost credibility.

MCA's total irrelevance was shown by the new Perak MB's announcement to grant Permanent land titles to New Villagers.
MCA got nowhere in 50 years, and Pakatan Rakyat is moving to get it resolved in 4 weeks.
One MCA loyalist groaned when he heard the news....habislah..MCA can close shop and go home now..
Yes its correct, correct, correct. Infact it is Chinese Wayang.They should first monitor themselves and ask why they lost so much in the GE b4 they monitor others. PR cannot change the so many years of MCA/MIC/ BN rot in 4 weeks. Its going to take time. Let the raayat who voted for the OPP monitor the PR. MCA pls continue with the Wayang which is part of your tradition.
These MahChAi people are still sleeping or in a dreamland, they themselves do nothing for the community and yet, they came out with loads of stupid idea now.
I hope that they keep on with they norm of squeezing Chinese's balls with Chinese school issue and so called Chinese voice in the parliament.
A small note for them, MaChAi! The Malaysian Chinese had already moved forward to become MALAYSIAN and all this blackmail will never work again!

The height of hypocrisy or the depth of desperation? MCA, MIC and their master UMNO are still dithering in circles trying to postmortem, reinvent, rebuild - or whatever meaningless management term they want to con themselves - their parties. Don't they read the blogs, if they still don't understand what happened to them?
Every anti-Pakatan Rakyat statement or stance will only alienate the people further and drive more nails into their coffin!

On a more serious note, the Pakatan Rakyat should form a "Shadow" Line up!
Is MCA jumping the gun to form a shadow cabinet long before Gerakan; PPP; MIC; UMNO and their ilk think about it or are they trying to prove that the Party has not been smashed into smitherens on 8th March by the People of Malaysia. Come next Election and MCA may vanish completely if they carry on the same antica that they have been doing with their crony bretherens in the Barisan so far.
MCA cannot by any stretch of imagination say that the Party was not responsible for the miserable performance of MCA in the last Election. In fact every leader in MCA should have put his tail between his legs and accepted responsibility for the disgrace and resigned from all posts and positions.
Or, are they learning some games from MIC leaders and Mugabe in Zimbabwe.
Watch out. That Despot has been invited to settle in Malaysia by a past Despot of Malaysia. Despots tend to look after each other very well but end up like Saddam in the end.
UMNO want to form a shadow cabinet. MCA want to form a shadow cabinet. Like Tan Sri Khalid said a few days ago, it's good to see the BN working for once. Anyway the BN has been so corrupt to the core for so long that they would not even know a good thing when they see one.
Running dogs are suppose to run, not watch. How can running dogs stop running.
MCA/UMNO is the best people to 'monitor' Pakatan Rakyat.
I mean, they've got plenty of experience when it comes to unethical and corrupt pratices.
Who better than the people who've been there and done that!
