Grateful Govt Reappoints ACA D-G On One-year Contract For A Job 'Well Done'

Anti-Corruption Agency director-general Datuk Ahmad Said Hamdan has been reappointed to the post on a one-year contract following his mandatory retirement on May 26 next year.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan said Ahmad Said would serve in the graft-busting agency's top post until May 25, 2009.

He was reappointed as his services were still needed, Mohd Sidek said in a statement.

He said the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin has consented to the reappointment under Section 3(3) of the Anti-Corruption Act 1997.

Penang-born Ahmad Said was appointed ACA director-general on May 14 this year. (Bernama)

***** Who said that our government doesn't reward those who truly deserve it? the ACA has been hyperactive recently and without fail followed and implemented our kerajaan's matlamat. What better honour for an obedient servant than to have his tenure extended. The same way that the government now seeks to amend the constitution to accommodate another loyal and servile errand boy, the chairman of the Election Commission. In our country all this and more are good examples of our patriotic slogan, Malaysia Boleh!
