"Govt Does Not Deprive Other Races Of Their Rights," Says Najib. Is This Really True?

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today reiterated that the government will not deprive the other races of their rights in its pursuit to achieve the 30 per cent equity for bumiputeras by 2020.

The deputy prime minister said the bumiputeras only wanted their share without depriving others of their rights.

"The bumiputera equity rose from 2.4 per cent in 1970 to 20.3 per cent when the New Economic Policy ended in 1990 but the percentage has remained static at 18.9 per cent since the Asian financial crisis in the late 1990s until today," he said.

Najib said there was a need to create a vibrant dynamic class of entrepreneurs if the bumiputeras wanted to attain the next level of achievement.

He was speaking when launching Universiti Tun Abdul Razak's (Unitar) Bank Rakyat School Of Entrepreneurship here.

The programme, which will receive RM30 million from Bank Rakyat for its endowment fund, involves collaboration between Unitar and Babson College in the United States, one of the top institutions of higher learning in the world in the field of entrepreneurship. (Bernama)

***** I have grave doubts about the DPM's claim. He still persists in living the lie that the Bumi equity has not gone dramatically upwards but is stagnating at 18.9%. However reliable researchers have put the figure at a more believable 45%.

Anyway I leave it up to you to figure out Najib's game plan. Fishing for non-Malay votes perhaps?

....but you become the biggest time fool of all when you keep blaming others instead of yourself.

Rejoice! When you still have the time to be with God at the temple undisturbed, eat the food you like, raise a family and romanticing and recluse with nature. You don't know at the click of any moment you're out of this world.

Thanks God for what I have.

The government would promise every damn thing on earth just to make everyone happy, but the follow through only happens for the Malays e.g. sending to space, because they wanted to document how the muslims fast and pray in space. Now they are talking about unity and etc. They dont keep to their word. They said the NEP would end in 1990, now they say, they want to continue up to 2020, what’s next, until all UMNO people become fully corrupted. I dont know people. Let me give u an example. Lets say, Government wants to develop Kampung Boleh into a big town centre. The present land price would be, say RM3/square feet. Then the government would form a bumi entity and buy the land for say RM5/square feet. Then the bumi entity would sell the land to the developer say RM25/square feet. Hence, let’s 10 bumi millionaires created. Then the Bumi developer get the contract to develop the land, say RM1 Billion. He will say the contract to another Bumi contractor for RM500 Million, this contractor would sell it to another Bumi Contractor for RM 250 Million and finally that bumi contractor would sell it to a Chinese contractor for RM100 Million. The chinese contractor wants to make money, so he uses cheap material. So, along the way, so many millionaires created through legal means but in a very corrupted manner. At the end of the day, Indians in Malaysia have to be self reliant. We have to go global, make our money accross the world. The Malaysian government loves Arabs so much. I guess, we have to come to Malaysia in Arabic costume, and we would be treated like kings and queens. Remember Indians, if people like Ambani, Mittal, AK and Shiv Nadar can go accross the globe and help themselves, I am sure you people (Indians) can do it urself. Let the country rot under absolute corruption, nepotism and human rights violation. They harp on Malay supremacy until when???? Reid Commission, said, it would be one day, that it would be abandoned. This people made it permanent. Looks like apartheid in the constitution when it was supposed to be temporary. So people, use ur brains and make money accross the world. A government is supposed to eliminate the poor irrespective of races. Until today, the Malaysian government speaks Malay, Indian and Chinese. If u go to Britain, the government uses the word British and in Australia, the government uses the word Australian. You see, there is no difference between identification of races in Malaysia or being outside of Malaysia. We are not identified as Malaysian but as ethnic group. Looks like, after 50 years, the government’s agenda is not for people of Malaysia but Agenda Melayu.

Semi Value,

You are wrong...the NEP has been extended "indefinately" not until 2020! They have got a good thing going for themselves here, do you think they want to end it? However, you are also right...as long as we are identified by Malay, Chinese, Indian or Others, we will never have true unity. Bangsa Malaysia is what we should be striving for. The BN says don't play Racial Politics yet they are the ones who are doing so!

Tedev,

Yes, you are right, we should be grateful for what we have. However, tell those Hindus who were thrown out of their Temples (while they were worshipping) & see their Temples destroyed, about spending time with God in your Temples undisturbed!
They will keep on telling us that the Other Races (notice that here the Non-Malays are referred to as Other Races - Read: Second-class Citizens!) are not deprived of thier Rights!
Ya right!

Semi Value,
What you said is absolutely correct. I agree with you. They have something that is like kryptonite. They can use it on other races for indefinite time.

Tedev,
If u r really an Umno Politician son, you are ******** screwed man. You got so much of bribe and you got cheek to say peace loving. Try telling that to those Hindus who were praying when their temples were demolished. Tedev you suck coz you are hypocrit.
