"Government Does Not Favour Any One Community," Says PM. Is This Fact Or Fiction?
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said tonight the power-sharing formula adopted by the Barisan Nasional (BN) would keep the coalition in power in the country.
He said the BN government gave priority to cooperation and consensus among the coalition partners and did not favour any one community.
"We cannot give importance to any one community because everyone has their rights in this country," he said.
The prime minister said the consensus practised in the BN has enabled the government to implement various development projects for the people.
Abdullah said the power-sharing formula should be safeguarded, adding that the country could not be administered by any one community.
He said the government did not dismiss any view or proposal put forward by the leaders of the various communities.
"We appreciate their views. Any decision made is in the best interests of the people," he said.
Abdullah said that in developing the country, the BN government focused on providing basic facilities such as communications, transport, healthcare and education.
It also ensured peace and stability and established a conducive atmosphere for employment, he added. (Bernama)
***** Pak Lah seems to be convinced and sincere in what he says. But are we really living in a country where everyone is treated the same, there is no overt/covert discrimination and no marginalisation at all? Do we truly live in the Utopia the BN spin is suggesting? Or are we citizens of a nation where racism and chauvinism rule relentlessly?

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha .... excuse me, my eyes are full of tears when I read this statement. I just can't stop laughing. Good tonic for a Saturday afternoon.
In Jordan we have Abdullah the King, in Turkey there is Abdullah the Gul but in malaysia behold Abdullah the Joker!
Really? Good news!! But didn't they say Melayu Bumiputras should have special right?? I'm confused. Something 's wrong with my pea size brain I guess. But I think somebody has a smaller size than mine.... Ijust don't understand Malaysia government's racist policy....
Sure, the Sun rises in the West!!
It is really pathetic to see the ways our leaders have responded to the situation. One can get agood measure of the incompetence of our leaders in the way they respond in the face of crisis. As of today there has not been one statement made by these leaders that addresses the issue apart from fueling the fire."Simpleton" statements like "all races are treated equally must go down as the worst lie ever told" by this abusive regime.
its in the interest of the people. sure. one UMNO bigwig, join hands with another bigiwg from MCA and one sarwakian decided its in the best interest to build a fleece zone in port klang. its so good even the government with the blessings of this administration to fund 4.7 billion to keep it afloat. its for the people's interest even when the project cost balloned from original cost of less than 2 billion to 4.7 billion. its so good that the bail-out loan will never be repaid. its so damn good for UMNO, MCA and the SARAWKIAN.
its very very good for the rakyat, isnt it when the nation has a flece zone in Port Klang now.
