Chinese, Other Minority Groups Still Sidelined In Kelantan - Ong Ka Ting's Selective View

The Chinese and other minority groups in Kelantan are still being sidelined in education, economy and culture after 17 years of Pas rule, said MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting.

He said the Pas government in Kelantan merely focused on running the state according to its own ideals, without thinking of the needs of the minority groups, who constituted six per cent of the population.

"There is only one Chinese representative, a Muslim, in the State Executive Council (Exco) who is unable to do much for the community," he said when opening the Kelantan MCA Youth and Wanita annual convention here today.

Ong, who is also Housing and Local Government Minister, asked the Chinese in Kelantan, who comprised four per cent of the population, to help change the state government in the coming polls.

He said that Kelantan MCA would cooperate with Umno to ensure a Barisan Nasional victory in Kelantan in the general election. (Bernama)

***** Implied in that Ong Ka Ting view of Kelantan is that the rest of the (BN ruled) country is AOK!

This means:
1) Minorities are NOT
being sidelined in education, economy and culture after 50 years of Umno rule in Malaysia.

2) Umno is NOT focused on running the country according to its own ideals, without thinking of the needs of the minority groups, who constituted almost 50% of the population.

3) The Chinese representatives in government are able to do much for the community.

I wonder if there is universal agreement to Ka Ting's highly selective 'worldview'.

He says this because his own position as mca president would be up for grabs should the mca fare badly in the GE.

We need not huff and puff over what he said in Kelantan. That is merely perfunctory speech. This is pre-election time and if he did not say something of that nature what else he could say as a BM man.

Ong Ka Ting sees through his special set of glasses and hears with a special set of hearing aids which functions as special filters.
Only the good things get through. Why not learn just a little bit more from the monkey that " sees no evil, hears no evil and speaks no evil".
The Malaysian Parliament needs people who can say "yes" only.(may be "I don't know")
May I ask Mr Ong if he had ever walked the streets of any Malaysian town or kampong or new village in recent years? ( Without the body guards and lots of apple polishers that may obscure his vision)
p/s All BN members are fitted with a special mouth filter. Only pleasant noise gets through.
