Beware Of Conmen 'Selling' Selangor State Titles For Cash
Unscrupulous people claiming to represent the Selangor Royal family have been soliciting funds from corporations supposedly for the underprivileged, in return for state titles.
The group calling itself Persatuan Kesatria Jaksa Pengaman Malaysia (PKJPM) is not registered with the registrar of companies, said Selangor police chief DCP Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar.
He said the syndicate's office, which is based in Kajang, has been operating for the past one month. DCP Khalid said the syndicate not only raised funds from companies but would also go door-to-door to collect money. The group had also created its own emblem and crest to convince prospective donors.
Palace officials, when contacted by police, said that the royal family did not have or endorse any such organisation.
"We have not received any police reports so far, and urge all those who have donated to or been approached by these people to lodge reports immediately," he told reporters. (TheStar Update)
***** When Datuk titles and other awards are rumoured to be sold all over the country, one cannot blame the rich and gullible who are taken in by the promises of these conmen. For some of the well-to-do there is no better ego-booster than to have a string of titles including a datukship. A few of these pangkat crazy fools even go to the extent of buying fake PhD certificates!
While these people deserve what they get for their stupidity, the conmen should be nabbed at the earliest before they do more damage to the purses of common folk and the reputation of royalty.

The bomohs who cut up Datuk Mazlan had a string of (fake) PhDs to their names
Infact, who are those who so hard up for the titles??? I think they are deserved to be conned. Honor is earned, not bought.
