All Communities Rights Protected- Najib. Fine, But Which Lucky Country Are You Referring To?
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Saturday said that the government did not oppress or deny the rights of any community or group in the country when implementing development programmes or in its efforts to raise the income level of those who needed it.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said that no parties were neglected at the expense of others in the government's development programmes or poverty eradication efforts. "I want to make it clear that based on the principle of equitable growth, everyone's rights will be protected.
"Through the approach we are using, we find ways to determine who needs more help, where more development is needed and this way when the economic pie expands, everyone benefits," he told reporters after presenting dividends to participants of the Rubber Industries and Smallholders Development Authority's integrated cultivation and replanting schemes at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Convention Hall, here.
"The development that is taking place is done in a fair an equitable manner with the focus on narrowing income disparities," said Najib. Najib said that what was being done by the government was understood by all the races in the country. "They understand, it is not something new. We have being doing this for 30 years and have made it clearer in the Ninth Malaysian Plan. "I feel there should not be any problems unless there are parties who try to confuse the people or certain groups only about it," he said.
**** At first I thought he was referring to some lucky country where the government actually cares and looks after all the people. Imagine my dismay when I belatedly realised that he was singing praises of our Tanahair and of course, what else, our kerajaan. That he should think anyone really believes him puzzles me. Or is he just saying it for the record and knows full well that we believe in his poppycock as much as he does?
Frankly he simply cannot blame us for not trusting or believing him. The happenings in the country over the past few months have given us little confidence in the preaching sermons of our leaders. They say one thing but do or support something directly opposite for the sake of political expediency. Allow me to list out a few examples to refresh his and your memory.
1) The hijacking of the Article 11 Forum.
2) Banning of 'Lelaki Komunis Terakhir.'
3) Brutal crackdown on a peaceful public demonstration at KLCC.
4) IPCMC and the police website.
5) Tearing down and demolishing places of worship by local authorities aided by the police.
6) The dictatorial and ruthless immigration department.
7) The politicisation and Islamisation of the Education Department.
8) The condoning of clearcut cases of corruption :-
a) 'Close one eye' MP for Jasin.
b) MPPJ's billboard scandal.
c) Matrade building controversy.
d) Former TNB Executive Chairman Ani Arope's disclosures.
9) Disappointed SPM toppers who failed to get scholarships. (Try telling them about fair and equitable treatment!)
The above are merely some examples and there are a lot more from where that came from. So now if you still want to believe government propaganda, (for that's what his speech is) go ahead.

Dato Sri Najib Tun Razak is one of the most dangerous individual existing in Malaysia. I am sure you, and some informed readers of your blog, are quite aware of his words and deeds way back in 1987.
He is one of those UMNO politicians who will not hesitate to employ agitprops ala Radio Télévision Libre des Mille Collines (RTLM) via vernacular newspapers AND mob violence ala Sturmabteilung in order to silence or intimidate his political opponents. Perhaps he and his like minded colleagues should be properly informed that the Berlin Wall fell in 1991, Chin Peng is now duly retired, and The Economist has dubbed 9/11 as 'the day the world changed'.
But the only reason he is succeeding in his actions is perhaps that THOSE whom he silenced or intimidated are too pre-occupied with the fact that he is the Defence Minister and the son of the DPM in 1969; and perhaps even more too ethnocentric and xenophobic for THEIR own good, especially when it comes to mastering the Malay Language and dealing with Non-Muslim Bumiputras.
I am going out on a limb here by suggesting to your readers to conduct a brief study on the economic-political relations of South East Asia, particulary the concept of tribute, the Siamese threat, the communist insurgency, and Admiral Zheng He (or in the modern context, USS Blue Ridge of the USN Pacific Fleet).
Sometimes, in order to trap a belligrent mousedeer, you must place it between the mouths of a tiger and crocodile.
Oddly enough , I virtually published a website just like this. I'm glad someone else took that try and also getting these praises nowadays. - bonsai trees
I'm sure he's refering to his families and cronies when he meant 'Fair Equity'. Who do you think he was refering to? Malays and non-bumis?
lolx
Oh dear, who is he talking to?
