There He Goes Again, And Again and Again...

The media has to “tone down” reports on crime and violence.

Information Minister Datuk Zainuddin Maidin said some of the reports in the media were very graphic, which could trigger more violence and criminal activities.(?)

“The media should try not to create too much sensation or glorify news to the extent of getting people excited and involved in crime(?),” he told reporters, after visiting the parents of 26-year-old hotel housekeeper Azlini Azmi who was found murdered in Sunway Mentari at Bandar Sunway in Petaling Jaya on Tuesday. Azlini’s body was found with slash wounds on her chin, neck and torso.

Zainuddin said the frequent television footages of the war and bombings in Iraq and violence shown on television would create a certain impact among viewers. “Of late, a lot of stories on murder cases and snatch thefts have been featured in the newspapers and on television, and the culprits could have emulated the violence they see or read about,” he added.

**** So why doesn't he solve the problem once and for all by getting the government to close down television stations and ban all newspapers and other avenues of obtaining bad news, that will only serve to 'excite' the people to commit crime? After all we are, each and every one of us, (except for him of course), C-grade morons who have to be guided and spoonfed 'safe' information. To have elected him I suppose qualifies us for the 'moron' title. I'm getting fed up listening to the same drivel from him regarding the type of media reports he wants, and not what the people need to know.

There he goes again,we should change the Information Minister's portfolio to MISinformation Minister !
What the hell is he saying now ?First ask him to get those lazy and corrupted enforcement agencies in the Home ministry to do their jobs ! If the Immigration hadn't been corrupted we won't have so many illegals roaming the streets knifing and robbing our citizens, and if the police were not corrupted these illegals would be caught and deported to their respective countries.
And stop telling us this same moronic 'shortage of man-power' damn bleeding excuse !
Always covering-up the truth and painting a good image of these corrupted so called 'guardians' of law-abiding and tax-paying citizens!
Mr. Minister, sir, clean all relevant Departments living off tax-payers money i.e. THE GOVERNMENT SERVANTS,first, before telling us, 'VOTING MORONS'( for our silly choice of representatives in Parliament) what we should watch/view and read okay..!! kapish??

then its better to abolish election, since people could not voice their complaint, Malaysia will crumble. The only thing is, in Newskini, like budakindia, blogging is to voice our views what the goverment did, dont sway to racial. People must know that the UMNO baru is not helping the Malays, only few cronies getting rich, but through ali babas
's. Ordinary people like me were crushed to pulps, they are like leeches, sucking bloods when they got the opportunity, their tongue are splitted, Malaysian leaders should go back to sunnah, then only corruption, road accidents and all sorts of unpleasent and frightful incident reduced (not zero) to its minimal percentage

To be honest, I blame the people of this country. I blame them for electing people like him to power. This is akin to giving a monkey the keys to your rose garden.

But then again... considering the alternatives out there (PAS, etc.) perhaps, it was just a matter of choosing the least evil.
