"I Am Clean," Says Khir Toyol! Do You Agree?
Former Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo says his conscience is clear and he has nothing to fear about SMSes and allegations of corruption. “The decisions made during my tenure as the Mentri Besar were made at the state executive councillors’ meetings. These meetings are minuted. Everything is in black and white,” said Dr Khir when contacted yesterday.
He was commenting on an SMS going round alleging that Dr Khir, during his time as the Mentri Besar, had bought a temporary occupancy licence (TOL) piece of land in Kajang for RM2 per sq feet and made the state dvelopment corporation buy it back at RM22 per sq feet, hence pocketing RM59mil.
The SMS further alleged that he had given RM1mil each to all Kajang exco members. The SMS claimed this was discovered by the new Selangor government team as they were looking through the files.
Dr Khir said he also received the same SMS on his handphone.
“The allegation has no basis at all. Such a land purchase never happened.
“I have directed my lawyer to lodge a police report and take the necessary legal action. I am also trying to trace the person who sent me the SMS,” he said.
He added he had discharged his duties as the Mentri Besar without conducting any dubious dealings that disadvantaged the state. (The Star)
****** The toyol was brought in from the wilderness and sent straight to the Mentri Besar's chair by the then PM Dr Mahathir, after the previous MBs of Selangor had plundered the state with gay abandon. Dr M's logic was that someone untouched, untainted and not addicted to corruption could make a difference and bring to a halt the way the state had been previously mismanaged and raped. And oh what a great mistake that turned out to be!
So now Khir Toyo says he's innocent and has NEVER indulged in any acts of corruption. I wonder if many would believe him. Do you?

erm so why is the ex-mb back in the game as rural n reg development minister. lots of cash there man...whoa, is that among the most corrupt (lucrative..) ministries?
The Javanese Toyol takes Selangorians to be a set of dopes. Surely his clean administration is going to get further cleaned soon. Then the fun will start and we have many non legal V K Lingams coming out of the woods.

Surely it looks more like one with a 'crooked' face. By God's grace, he is gone now. Hope he does not follow the trail taken by ex ADUN Uncle Zac on the day the Election results were announced.
