Radzi Quits As BN & Umno Sec-Gen
Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad quit as Barisan Nasional and Umno secretary-general on Wednesday. He told reporters at the Putra World Trade Centre here that he was "unable to work effectively anymore".
Radzi said his decision to resign has been conveyed to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who has accepted it.
The former Home Affairs Minister was dropped from the new Cabinet line-up announced by Abdullah on Tuesday. (The Star)
***** Probably feeling deeply insulted, embarrassed or both for being unceremoniously dumped from the Cabinet, Radzi has taken this risky decision. Whether he will go quietly into the night or join forces with those unhappy with the party is anyone's guess. But it doesn't augur well for Umno if more such resignations take place. Fortunately it is good news for the nation though.

i believe Dato Radzi quits because of the MB Perlis tussle. Dato Radzi is accused of influencing Istana not to appoint Shahidan. His resignation as BN & UMNO sec gen is a lost as he has integrity and wisdom to REHAB BN & UMNO.
radzi had betrayed umno presidents twice. umno don't need such people.
Rafidah was supposed to call a Press Conference today. Did she? Maybe she will resign too?
