Samy Vellu: MIC Wants Govt To Give Urgent Attention To Seven Issues. Sam Can Help By Leaving Now
The MIC wants the government to immediately act on seven critical issues that have caused "uneasiness" among the Indian community, among them, equitable participation in the share market, says party president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu.
He said the issues should be resolved immediately as they have hindered the party's efforts to ensure the upward mobility of the Indians.
"The Indians have very high expectations and are demanding from MIC greater inclusion, access and their rights in the socio-economic development on par with the other communities," he said at the MIC special convention for branch chairmen here today.
Samy Vellu said the Indians wanted just and fair treatment from the government.
The one-day convention to prepare the MIC's grassroots machinery for the upcoming general election was opened by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. (Bernama)
***** This is indeed a tactical u-turn by Semi Value. Only in early December last year he was going on and on about there being no discrimination in Malaysia! He even rejected allegations that Indians were being marginalised here and added arrogantly that those without jobs were "either choosy or lazy."
At that time he was supremely confident that the Hindraf demonstration would have no impact on the upcoming elections. He had also dismissed Hindraf as inconsequential when he said that "there are seven lawyers; they are the organisation. They think they are the government."
Now after two months of getting bruised and battered by Indians throughout the country and having his position as MIC president and federal minister questioned by all and sundry, he is starting to eat humble pie and at last coming out with the truth that he has done diddly-squat for the community in the past thirty years.

That intelligence reports are not good, and that Abdullah has 'forced' Samy Vellu to resign on Sunday...
That all MIC division chairmen had been summoned on very short notice for an emergency meeting in KL Sunday morning...
That Najib had been given a task to complete by noon. That he must attend a meeting with MIC leaders at PWTC later...
Let me try hard to get to sleep again.
You are either part of the solution or part of the problem.
Semi-Value is definitely part of the problem.
Unfortunately, with the Byzantine nature of BN politics, Semi-Value's replacement is likely someone even more compliant to UMNO - the Unlimited Money Netting Organisation
equity participation? thought that millions of shares which were supposedly allocated to MAIKA mysteriously went to some nominee companies. and you are now talking about equity allocation. for you and your cronies afterall MAIKA no longer has the strong means to take up any significant allocations, even if there is, after all these years of being sodomised financially.
Start with equity participation, I say. That way, Samy, you and your son(s) can invest in a safe country like UK or Canada or even Singapore. Samy is smart..he wants another chance to shaft the Tamils again!
If not for HINDRAF, the BN in general & the MIC in particular would still be taking advantage of the Indians.
Semi Value should resign. If he doesn't then he should be voted out. Wouldn't that be a fitting reward for someone who has betrayed his own "kind"?!
Samy, you bloody beggar! Enough of your cock and bull stories. Do all the Indians a big favour.. just get lost.
All you've been doing all these years is suck up to the racist bastards and if they ever throw some bones, you collected for your own pocket. What else have you done?
Please, just go away. We are sick of your face!
