PM's Egomaniacal Political Secretary Shoots From The Hip Over Ijok Violence.
The trouble with secretaries whether the political or private variety is that sometimes they mistake their employer's powers for their own. The difference between the PM and his political secretary is like that of an Admiral of the Fleet and a Petty Officer. But it is human nature that when you seem so close to the centre of power you may foolishly think that you in some way can exercise that power by proxy. A petty officer just because he takes the trouble to serve a delicious cup of tea to the Admiral cannot expect to give orders or unsolicited advice to any senior officer in his Navy, or worse to the Captain of another country's fleet. Such insubordination would result in instant dismissal or a court-martial.
In a Bernama report today it was mentioned that a pipsqueak who goes by the name of Datuk Osman Desa, the Prime Minister's Political Secretary, a man with very few powers of his own and apparently even less wisdom, arrogantly urged Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders to dissolve the party after its 'violent' approach in the Ijok by-election recently. Assuming the self-appointed role of Malay cultural Czar and religious expert extraordinaire he declared that "such violent campaigning was not only contradictory to Islamic teachings but also went against the Malay culture." Just who asked his opinion is the question one should put to him.
Continuing his unsolicited advice Osman Desa also said, "the Malays cannot accept the culture of thuggery and intimidation adopted by the opposition during the campaign in Ijok. I suggest that Keadilan be dissolved and the Malays who had joined the party should return to Umno." Osman Desa may get a few things done by furtively using the PM's name. He'd prove useful in getting a recommendation for an appointment, a good job, scholarship, even a big loan. His own limited influence should stop right there. When he presumes in the name of Islam and Malay culture to preach to the opposition and even ask them to dissolve their party he has gone way out of line and should have his knuckles rapped strongly. This is one political animal who would be better off either on a tight leash or a straight jacket.

Just who he is anyway, self proclaimed expert in Islam? I doubt if he even knows a single good `hadith' or an excerpt from the Quran to support his claims.
In making the call, the Prime Minister's Political Secretary Datuk Osman Desa said such violent campaigning was not only contradictary to Islamic teachings but also went against the Malay culture.

God the Almighty. I can only remember a Somali proberb. "If you leave, you will see miracles." Now UMNO is accusing others of political thuggery and being less-Islamic. Allahu-Akbar. God is Great
"if you live...not "leave" sorry for that.
The empty barrel that makes the most noise.
Malay culture....against violence?? Then, who are the Mat Rempits? How did Oldman Dosa become a political secretary...I wonder?
