Ijok By-election: Ensure MIC Candidate Is Strictly Vetted By Bukit Aman.
After the clash between Indian party members of the DAP and the MIC at Machap, it is crystal clear that there is something wrong with the quality and character of Indians being ushered into politics. Two Chinamen are battling it out in the polls but Indian foot soldiers are fighting each other on the streets! Disgraceful.
From a party of troublemakers and chair-throwers, Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu turned the MIC into a fairly efficient and credible political party. However in order to protect and preserve his own unassailable position he brought in many unsavory characters and placed them in key posts. Some of them are thugs who see no need to reform but consider their gangster status as the raison d'ĂȘtre for their exalted positions within the MIC and the various state governments and municipal councils.
With the by-election at Ijok on the cards and a MIC candidate confirmed as the BN's choice, despite the selfish objections of Umno Kuala Selangor, the BN has to ensure that whoever is selected does not subscribe to the samseng philosophy and genuinely has a clean record. Therefore the police have to strictly vet the potential candidates and not perform sham screenings as they have been suspected of doing with Datuk award recipients.
