Randy Husbands And Employers Beware!!
A husband who causes his wife to undergo mental injury, including stress, in his bid to have sex with her can be prosecuted and sentenced to a jail term of up to five years under the amended Penal Code, the Dewan Rakyat was told Tuesday. Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad said the new provision to that effect was contained under Section 375A of the Penal Code (Amendment) Bill 2004.
The provision emphasises injury suffered by the wife inflicted by the husband's act. It is easier to be proven compared to marital rape. The wide definition of injury, which covers stress, meant that it was enough for the wife to claim that her husband had injured her to have sex for the man to be convicted, he said.
Great. This is what we call empowering women! The next time you have a tiff with your wife on something as trivial as which channel to watch on tv, and if she really wants to do you in, no problem. Parliament has just handed her the right weapon and its deadlier than any utensil or rolling pin. All she has to do is to go straight to the friendly neighbourhood police station and claim that you have stressed her mentally by demanding too much sex!! If you try arguing that the problem was about tv channels, you'll be digging your own grave when she cries out that you had mentally stressed her by forcing her to watch blue films! Either way you'll be staring at 5 years in the cooler.
He said the new description of rape under Section 375 covered getting consent by abuse of authority towards a woman, like between an employer and a female worker.
So those of you high libido employers who have made bonking their female employees a vocation, take care. Parliament has not forgotten you either. Whether you have consent or not, sex with a subordinate is unlawful even if the 'poor' employee says 'yes'. Aaah for the good old days of fun and merriment.
