Are We Headed For Another Defence Ministry Scandal?

Malaysia has learnt the lessons of the past and will not repeat the mistakes in its proposed project to build two frigates, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. Only people with the capability and integrity would be put in charge of the project, he told Malaysian journalists here Wednesday.

He was asked about Malaysia's readiness to build two frigates, which he announced on Monday, in view of the trouble-plagued project to build naval patrol vessels in Lumut by a Malaysian company.

****The silver lining in Najib's statement is that mistakes were made, period. However any pious declaration that such 'mistakes' will not be repeated must be taken with a pinch of salt. Nothing thus far has convinced me that our government learns from past mistakes especially where big money is involved.

Now Najib wants us to take his word at face value regarding two frigates to be built by our chaps. For those in the know about the mess the last time around when we attempted to build naval patrol vessels, his words of assurance are actually a signal to really start worrying.

If you have forgotten about that scandalous issue or have no knowledge of it, here is a short refresher on The fall of Amin Shah, Malaysia's 'Onassis'

Question?

Wasn't the honourable Najib Defence Minister, when the boiled prawn pawn Amin was building Malaysian Patrol Boats? Stupid Min you should have just sold out to the damn BRits and collected a commission. Then you would have still been a Malaysia's Onassis.

Instead Najib is now in Nirvana- sudden enlightenment . He is suddenly so concerned about mistakes made while he was Defence Minister. Is he still Defence Minister? Apparently, DPM too and soon to be...PM if the silly ruckus continues.

So, let us all forget that Najib was not on his toes when he made his shopping trip to Hamburg to check on Amin's progress? But then Amin had the blessing for the two tuns . Until one of them did a judas .

Hey Man, wasn't the Malaysian Navy stationed in Hamburgh during Amin's time.

The Chief of Navy is well known in Happy Hamburgh! Yet all apparently turned a blind eye to Amin's antics then. But waited for the right time for the kill, and to fill their bellies, once again...

But then Najib is an honourable Man and we thank you sir for being above mistakes.
