Six Men Secretly Detained Under ISA By The Government?
Abolish ISA Movement chairman Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh says the group's lawyers discovered on a recent visit to the detention center that the six men were arrested in July under the law.
Syed Ibrahim could not say why they were held. He says he is "quite shocked and annoyed" at the new detentions.
Home Ministry officials could not immediately be reached Friday to confirm the group's claim.
The government says the law, known as the Internal Security Act, is necessary for national security. The government says 68 people, including 33 foreigners, are currently held under the act. (AP)
