Penang Umno To Go All Out To Bring Development To Penang! Have They Been Sleeping In The Past?

Penang Umno will strengthen and streamline further the state's Bumiputera Participation Steering Committee to enhance development in Penang.

Penang Umno liaision committee deputy chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Rashid Abdullah said they would also rope in the Penang Regional Development Authority (Perda) and other bumiputera organisations in the effort.

He told this to reporters after some 650 Umno leaders from Penang held a closed-door meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who is also Penang Umno president and Penang Umno chief, at the Putra World Trade Centre here Saturday.

It was the first of a series of meetings Abdullah plans to have with leaders of Umno divisions and branches from throughout the country.

Also present at today's meeting, were Information Miniser Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor and Umno information chief, Tan Sri Muhammad Muhd Taib.

Touching on the meeting, Abdul Rashid it was done in an open and frank manner with Abdullah responding positively to the feedback given following the poor performance by Umno and the Barisan Nasional in the March 8 election.

All the leaders also voiced their undivided support for the leadership of Abdullah and Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (Deputy Prime Minister and Umno deputy president), he said. (Bernama)

***** Now that these crooks have lost the state to Pakatan Rakyat, suddenly they have developed the desire to 'develop' Penang! However I'm sure that the average Penangite would say "thanks, but no thanks, we're in good hands now."

No one except the umnoputeras themselves will believe this Penang Umno bullshit.

Instead of taking the voters' message delivered on March, 8th and digest it, AAB is still going around the country listening to the divisional and branch heads. These are the same groups of people who had assured him that he would be winning big. AAB will still be getting the same old message - that they support him; that they can make a comeback if they keep on doing what they have always done.

Any wonder why there is nothing new. They want to maintain the status quo so that their positions in the gravy train are not disrupted and their interests are not jeopardized. But they cannot see this cannot be anymore as things have changed. They cannot be in power again so soon

To BN improve:
There's the long method and there's a short-cut method. The long one is to revamp, reconstruct and re-brand. The short-cut is to carry on what they're doing but keep undermining the current 'enemy' government. The risk for option #2 is to lose it all, because the voters are looking on and they are not going to tolerate that. You could try that 5 - 10 years ago. Not today, not tomorrow.

No "development" projects
==> no 25% cut from the costs
==> their wives and children starve to death

You don't want that to happen, do you?

This meant that they were dishonest in the past dealings. My former unemployed neighbour (just shifted to new bungalow 6 months ago) who was a Penang-Umno member has all praises only in the past. He told me his job was to follow his boss to bodek his bigger boss for contracts. Then they sub-contracted them to small bumi contractors at 1/5 of the price. Sound familiar. Yet my neighbour was proud of it. Hmmm... I wonder how is he going to deal with the new bungalow and 3 Mercs, BMW he bought the last 12 months now that Penang is PKR controlled.

These Penang UMNO leaders have not been sleeping all this while. They have been enriching themselves whilst in power. It is a open secret.Arrogant and corrupt to the core. The only way for UMNO to regain its credibility and influence is to get rid of these leaders. But how? When the cancer is terminal.

I was told that there was a demonstration today near Botanical Gardens. Apparently, the previous Penang State Govt was "not aware" of any development of a hawker centre near an apartment area. Hence, when the tsunami came, the center was still unfinished and the residents demanded that the project be stopped. I was told that this project was a federal project and the state government had no say at all. See what I mean? I sense some unseen hands in the making. The new govt is now helping the residents with this plight and apparently, the residents wanted to further share their dissatisfactions.I guess too many Skeletons in the closet which is still unearthing. You think we Penangnites want UMNO to come back and dominate the island again? I rather have a strong govt like now....

For more than 50 years the UMNOPUTRAS of Penang looted not only Penang but also looted the Nation. The Mamas who claim 'Malay' rights had the best of both worlds. Now when they have no iota of power in the State they are trying to hoodwink the Nation with their 'Blah".

Wonder if anyone believes them. They must be mighty stupid to have made the statement that only NOW that they are GOING TO GO ALL OUT to bring development. Possibly they are unable to feed their cronies or are unable to pay for the 'keeps' and the odd bungalows and Mercedes and BMWs and are trying to go all out to try their looting tricks again.

God forbid that they be ever allowed into the 'Lanes of Power' again. The 'Corridors of Power' have become 'lanes' now for most of them.

Let me tell all of you something. 90% of the bastards who claim to be Penang UMNO members and fighting for Malay rights are Mamaks. These chameleons and sly foxes enjoy the best of both worlds. When it is good to be Malays, they lean towards them and when it is good to be a non-Malays, they lean towards the opposite side. Mamaks have a historical background of backstabbing the Indian community. They are foxes and born to deceive the average Malaysians. They have piggybacked on the so called "Malay" definition and are enjoying and reaping Bumiputra benefits. To hell with Foxy Mamaks.
