Parliament Live Telecast To Continue

The half-hour live telecast of proceedings in the Dewan Rakyat will continue.

Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek is scheduled to announce the decision by the Cabinet at 4pm today.

This is in sharp contrast to the reaction by the PM yesterday when he said that he was ashamed at what had transpired in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday and agreed that live telecast of the proceedings should be scrapped.

“I felt 'ashamed' if people watched television and saw what was happening in our Dewan. In my heart, I also felt that all this happened because there was a live broadcast at that time. Each (MP) wanted to make himself or herself seen debating or ‘aksi’ (acting) in the Dewan. That was how I felt,” he had lamented yesterday.

He had also added that if Information Minister Datuk Shabery Cheek decided to cancel the live telecast, he would agree.

So why this sudden flip-flop now? Did the Cabinet overrule Pak Lah and Shabery?

Cool. at least the whole debate about "BN is covering up their faults if they cancel the live screenings yada yada" will stop.

Give them a chance to prove themselves, we need to stop looking for faults in the government. In my opinion, this a good step for change because they are starting to act according to the people's interests.

It is indeed a good thing that the telecast be continued. People will see the ugly faces of the monkeys who make fun of ladies' monthly problem and inhumanely insult the handicapped by insisting that they stand up.

What is there to be ashamed about? The live telecasts shows it as it is - uncensored and unadulterated. We get to see the truth and not some slick production.

Let's have more truths please.
