Dr Mahathir Calls For Trial Of Bush, Blair, Howard For Iraq War Crimes!

A former Southeast Asian leader on Friday called for three major Western leaders, including President George Bush, to be tried for war crimes by an international tribunal.

Former Malaysian leader Mahathir Mohammad called for charges to be filed against Bush and prime ministers Tony Blair of the United Kingdom and John Howard of Australia.

According to Straitstimes.com, the Ramadhan Foundation quoted Mahathir as making the call during a speech at the Imperial College in London. The British Muslim youth group, which advocates peaceful co-existence and dialogue between communities, organized the speaking event for Mahathir, who ruled Malaysia from 1981 to 2003.

Ramadhan spokesman Mohammed Shafiq also quoted Mahathir as saying, "that people have to stop killing each other and use arbitration, negotiation and discussion as an alternative to violence, war and killing." (AHN)

***** Just how Dr Mahathir plans to get the three leaders to trial remains a mystery.

One ex-leader who could well find himself on trial for abuses of power is Mahathir himself, especially if (more like when, I think) PR takes over the reins of the Federal Government.

What is he up to?

What is Mahathir trying to do, using the international stage to make accusations and to make demands. Lately, he seems to be very taken up by international tribunals. First he wants the Malaysian government to set up a tribunal make up of foreign digniatries to investigate him. Now, he wants an international tribunal set up to try a few of the western leaders.

Why is he doing all this? He now knows that things are closing in on him in the home front. It is very likely that AAB will take up on his very own suggestion and appoint a tribunal of foreign dignitaries to investigate him on the part he played in the judiciary crisis issue.

He is setting the stage for himself to wriggle out of an investigation by such foreigners. He takes such a strong stand now overseas so as to project himself as a brave and righteous person in the eyes of the people of Malaysia. He is trying to shore up popularity for himself so that when the tribunal is really set up he can then turn around and say he would not be getting fair treatment as the foreigners will be out to punish him for what he said against their leaders. This is his sinister motive.

In the meantime he is drawing attention to himself so that he is getting as much media coverage as AAB. He is also trying to draw the attention given to the recent changes made by AAB.

Lastly, he wants to test the IQ level of the Malaysian public, he wants to know if they are still so guillble. In another words, he wants so find out if his words still hold much sway.

Oops, miss this.

Another of his motive may be to launch an attack on Anwar as a stooge of th US when he returns. He wants to show that he is not anybody's stooge.

What is [he] trying to do, using the international stage to make accusations and to make demands?

As Dr Mahathir knows and indeed told at the International Conference on the Gold Dinar Economy last July in Kuala Lumpur,
the oil weapon does NOT exist.
The real weapon is the petro-dollar.

Increased oil prices are only strengthening the bankers in the west who operate through proxies, said Dr Mahathir.

If, as Ramadhan spokesman Mohammed Shafiq concluded yesterday,
http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=53147§ionid=351020601
Dr Mahathir spoke yesterday about
"the thousands dying, the economic war, the power of oil and how we could utilize some of these tools to have leverage against the people who commit countries to war,"
has the time not come to dump the petro-dollar regime
and start pricing oil in gold dinar?

Maybe that’s what Dr Mahathir is up to, using the international stage.

No need to get the three politicians to trial.

Malaysia frets about rice supply
The Associated Press

SNIP
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- Malaysia sought assurances from Thailand, the world's largest rice exporter, on Thursday that it will continue to supply the grain amid worries over shortages and sharply rising prices.

Ivo:
There are no shortages of rice.
There’s enough rice to feed everybody.

The problem is that rice can no longer be imported.

Indeed,
because on international markets,
it is being traded for worthless US dollars
its price is going out of hand.

By pricing rice on international markets in gold dinar,
the rice price crisis will disappear.

The art of economics consists in looking not merely at the immediate but at the longer effects of any act or policy; it consists in tracing the consequences of that policy not merely for one group but for all groups.

Ivo:
Dr Mahathir’s intentions on the international stage are very laudable.
He wants to save the world from famine.

Just how Dr Mahathir plans to get the three leaders to trial?

He will pretend to stage a hunger strike but will eat when nobody notices, just as the Bali bombers are doing in jail

US Fed To Blame for Global Food Crisis

SNIP
The US has been gaming the system for decades; sucking up two-thirds of the world's capital to expand its cache of Cadillac Escalades and flat-screen TVs; giving nothing back in return except mortgage-backed junk, cluster bombs, and crummy green paper. Nothing changes; it only gets worse. But this is different. The world is now facing the very real prospect of "completely avoidable" famine because twelve doddering old banksters at the Federal Reserve would rather bailout their sketchy friends and preserve their spot at the top of the economic food-chain then save the lives of starving women and children. Bernanke now has an opportunity to do more damage than Bush with one swipe of the pen. If he cut rates; the dollar will fall, commodities will spike, and people will starve. It's as simple as that.

Contrary to what I said yesterday 5:23 PM MYT,
quoting Associated Press,
Malaysia will no longer be able to obtain rice supplies from Thailand,
as Thailand is to to speed up the dollar’s demise.

Thailand says indeed that the US dollar price of rice is too low.

Thailand Wants Opec-like Cartel For Rice
By D.Arul Rajoo
http://web7.bernama.com/bernama/v3/news_world.php?id=329218
SNIP
BANGKOK, April 26 (Bernama) — With the rice price soaring in tandem with the skyrocketing oil price, Thailand’s largest enterprise has call on the government to form an Opec-like alliance on rice TO ELEVATE ITS PRICE.
+
We can’t control the oil prices, so why do we have to fix domestic produce prices. We must allow prices of agricultural products to rise and therefore raise overall salaries of public sector officials accordingly,” said the head of the country’s biggest agro-industry conglomerate.
UNSNIP

The mainstream media prevent us from thinking in a logical way.

If you want to think,
you must start with the facts
which you must analyse.
And on these facts you can try to apply your ideas
(but this presupposes that you have ideas).

You must not start with your ideas
and then distort the facts
in such a way that they suit your ideas.

Let me repeat,
the price of rice is at present going out of hand
because on international markets,
rice is being traded for worthless US dollars.

Thailand wants to allow the US dollar prices of agricultural products to get even more out of hand.

This will only speed up the dollar’s demise.

By the same token,
the necessity of the introduction of a replacement for the dollar,
the necessity of the introduction of the GOLD DINAR,
will also be sped up.

Mahathir is damned bloody good. He has found faults in all the world's leaders; some more some less. But look at his records. 22 years of misrule, corruption, cronyism and abuse of power by all and sundry. Yet he wants to put others on trial.
