Penang Government Appoints Two Deputy Chief Ministers

According to Bernama the Penang government today announced the appointments of two deputy chief ministers to help administer the state.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng named Penanti state assemblyman Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) as first Deputy Chief Minister and Perai state assemblyman Prof Dr P.Ramasamy (DAP) as second Deputy Chief Minister.

He told a news conference that they would take their oath of office before Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas tomorrow.

Guan Eng heads a coalition state government comprising DAP and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) after they won 29 of the 40 state seats in last Saturday's general election.

***** What Umno refused to accept or implement for fifty years has now been done in just five days! Is that commitment or what! Congrats to CM Lim and the Barisan Rakyat. Keep it up.
