Malaysia Opposition Wins Penang - Govt Party Source
Malaysia's opposition has staged a stunning upset and won northern Penang state, the industrial heartland, from the ruling coalition in general elections on Saturday, sources on both sides of politics said.
"It's bad. They have lost Penang," a source close to Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi told Reuters only two and a half hours after polling booths closed at 0900 GMT.
"It's a perfect storm," he added. "Big guns are falling all over the place."
A lawmaker from the main opposition Democratic Action Party (DAP) said unofficial figures showed the opposition was leading in 17 of Penang state assembly's 40 seats. Local independent news Web site malaysiakini said it was leading in six more seats. (Reuters India)

This is so hilarious.
I was watching the NTV7 and Channel 501, for results while checking malaysiakini.
Its so desperate of the BN. They are really so ashamed! And they are sore losers!
Slaughter in Seputeh!
Even the cats are offering thanks to Heaven for the demise of Gerakan

This is the classic event that I was looking forward. For 50 years, they have taken the people for granted. As a citizen born after independence I consider myself as Malaysian, but BN considers itself, Malay, Chinese and Indian. Furthermore, UMNO has no respect for other people. Serve them right. No 2/3 majority and lost 5 states. Penang, Perak and Selangor are rich states.
This is only the beginning, the journey is long & treacherous, but to press forward as a nation we must!
Hidup Malaysia!!!!

Like Shakespeare's Richard II, Dollah the Mullah can only lament:
"O that I were as great
As is my grief, or lesser than my name!
Or that I could forget what I have been,
Or not remember what I must be now!"
For the first time, I feel the joy and proud to be Malaysian.
