Pak Lah, Samy Vellu Say "Indians not Marginalized." Is This True?

The MIC has welcomed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's rebuttal to allegations that the Government had failed to help the Indian community.

Its president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said the party thanked Abdullah for giving the true picture that Barisan Nasional had always assisted the Indian community to advance economically and socially.

Abdullah had on Thursday expressed disappointment that there were groups still claiming that the Indian community was 50 years behind the others, despite continuous efforts by the Government to address its needs.

He was commenting on a memorandum submitted by a group, Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF) saying that the Government had failed to help the Indian community.

Samy Vellu, who is also the Works Minister, said any fair-minded person could acknowledge the many achievements of the Indian community in economics, religion, education and social aspects.

Thousands of temples were constructed or rebuilt, all with the help of the Barisan government.

Thousands of Indian students have also undergone and are undergoing tertiary education in public and private universities while the MIC alone has created 32,000 semi-professionals through its TAFE College in Seremban,” he added.

Samy Vellu said the MIC would safeguard the legitimate rights of the Indian community with the continuous support of the people and party members. (TheStar)

***** Now I've seen the light. What lucky fellas these Indians are! And I was under the impression that they were left further behind than even the 'poverty stricken and helpless' Malays. Silly me. If Samy Vellu is to be believed then the Indians in Malaysia are the luckiest blokes on the planet, even more fortunate than the NEP enjoying bumiputeras. And who can doubt this senior-most and longest reigning minister? Especially when his claims have the backing of no less than the Prime Minister himself.

So all you Indians out there without a job or doing menial work, living in crime infested flats, rumah murah or squatter houses about to be demolished along with your illegal temples, bypassed for promotions in the low level civil service post you are in, with children who are unable to make it to public varsities despite good results, when you pray to your God tonight put in a good word for your leaders, for it is they who have placed you in such an exalted and envious position in Malaysian society. Thank your lucky stars for continuously and loyally voting for them and while doing that please chant "Malaysia Boleh!" I can understand your dilemma and your reasoning that it is safer to vote for the Malays you know than the fanatics you don't know and don't care about.

Semi-Value, Semi-Value, what would you not say for personal gain ?

Remember all the Hindu temples bulldozed by UMNO controlled local authorities at the slightest pretext ?
The growing numbers of jobless and underemployed Indian youths ?

No denying that there has been an improvement compared to the 60s and 70s. But when compared to the other races, Indians are still far behind!. These assholes are just comparing temporally, not in relation to the achievement by other races. Of course that thug will claim that we have benefited because he benefitted the most.

Maika holding is now controlled by his uneducated son. And they are thinking of selling an Insurance company held by Miaka so as to settle its debt!

Maika shareholders had to borrow from banks to buy share and this is how greedy bastard manages the fund!
