Emirati Father Aiming For 100 Children By 2015!
A one-legged Emirati father of 78 children is expected to reach his target of 100 children by 2015 with his next two wives standing in line, Emirates Today reported on Monday.
Daad Mohammed Murad Abdul Rahman, 60, has already had 15 brides although he has to divorce them as he goes along to remain within the legal limit of four wives at a time.
"In 2015 I will be 68 years old and will have 100 children," the local tabloid quoted Rahman as saying. "After that I will stop marrying. I have to have at least three more marriages to hit the century."
The front page of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) newspaper was dominated with a picture of Abdul Rahman surrounded by his children, the eldest of whom is 36 years old and the youngest of whom is 20 days old.
Two of his current three wives are also pregnant. Abdul Rahman said his large family lives in 15 houses and he supports them with his military pension and the government help.
Islam allows men to marry up to four women at a time, though most marry only one. The UAE is a Muslim country but is home to migrants from around the world. (Xinhua)
***** The above story is being discussed at Arab websites. Among the interesting comments there was this one - "I am no sharia expert but I would argue that this is haram! one should marry to fulfil his religious duty (it completes your religion) and to start a family. All this man did is create 15 divorcées who may never remarry! He is creating a social problem...there are very strict rules for multiple marriages ..it's not a sport or something to do to set a record. How disgusting! .... The sharia offers women a lot of protection and rights, unfortunately men run Muslim countries and it is they who infringe on/deny women's rights. You can not blame the religion for the faults of men who claim (emphasis on claim) to follow it."
Anyone with sound religious knowledge on the above subject is welcome to give their views.

First of all, is this bum a millionaire? Can he pay alimonies to all his ex-wives, support his current 4 wives and all his 100 children on his own? Or does he have to ask/beg the state to help him support them?
If the answers to the above questions are 'Yes', then well and good. But if the answers are 'No', then he should be sent to a lunatic asylum along with all his imbecile wives/ex-wives.
