Condolences To Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin And His Family

It was indeed a shock to read a Bernama report which said that Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin's grandson, Zainal Ihsan Zainal Fitri, 11, died this morning after being in a coma since July 1.

We don't know the cause of the young boy's illness or why he went into a coma. However Datuk Zam's Press Secretary, Hisham Abdul Hamid, said the boy died at 5.10am at the Ampang Puteri Hospital here.

His body was taken to his parents' house at No. 130, Jalan I5, Fasa 5, Taman Melawati in Hulu Klang for burial at the Taman Melawati Muslim cemetery today. Zainal Ihsan was the second of four siblings. His mother, Zakinah, is Zainuddin's second child.

***** Any death is a sad one especially for the family of the bereaved. But when one so young is taken away suddenly, it is a loss which cannot be described and the grief unbearable. We can only sympathize with the family of Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin and pray for them at this time of agony, anguish and sorrow.

May God give them the strength and courage to endure this tragic phase in their lives.
