Stealing 25 Eggs Worth RM 7.50; Indon Gets 3 Months Jail Term In Kuching!
For stealing 25 eggs costing RM7.50, an Indonesian now has to spend three months in jail. Magistrate Nur Ahmad Faisal Jalek imposed the sentence on Rinto Parman of Sambas, Kalimantan Barat, after he pleaded guilty to stealing the eggs from a farm on Jan 27.
Rinto, a general worker at a poultry farm at Mile 26 of the Kuching-Serian Road, was caught with the eggs by a guard as he was leaving the farm. (NST)
***** So the Indon thief was caught red-handed by the guard. That's good. But the poor sod only stole 25 eggs, not RM 250,000 worth of loot! Recently two very senior ex-police officers' houses were robbed and most probably by Indons. One of the officers lost his life. The burglars who commited those thefts and murder are still roaming around scot-free. Those are the criminals who should feel the full force of the law and not some petty egg thief. This guy should have been fined and deported.
If 3 months jail is the going rate of punishment for stealing 25 eggs, what prison sentence do you think is appropriate for those stealing from the nation through unfair concession agreements, approving contracts without tender, alienating land illegally for other 'considerations,' doling out licences and permits to cronies, building palaces with unaccounted for cash, avoiding paying millions in income tax, hiding crimes and shielding criminals by deftly employing the OSA and a host of other 'official' unlawful acts committed daily in this land of plenty? Any answers people? Let's have your views on this.

the Tabung Haji duo, even though they have been found guilty and sentenced to 16 years' jail last month for criminal breach of trust and cheating involving RM200mil managed to delay their stay in jail whilst waiting for the appeal.
Its not the quantum of the loot that should be the deciding factor
Now, that's justice, wahht.. right er not??
