Pak Lah To Receive Two Highest Indonesian Awards.

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi arrived here at noon today for a two-day working visit, during which he will be conferred Indonesia's highest award for foreign leaders, as well as the republic's scout movement, Pramuka's highest honours.

Abdullah would be the first Malaysian Prime Minister to be accorded with Indonesia's Adi Pradana award besides Lencana Tunas Kencana, Pramuka's award bestowed on exemplary figures who had contributed to the scouting movement.

Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia Datuk Zainal Abidin Mohamed Zain said Abdullah's itinerary Thursday morning begins with a courtesy call on Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at Istana Merdeka.

After that, the Prime Minister will be presented with Adi Pradana award by Susilo at the investiture hall of the palace, Zainal Abidin told reporters, here Wednesday.

Both leaders will later hold a joint news conference.

Abdullah will later proceed to Birawara conference hall at Jalan Gatot Subroto here to receive the Lencana Tunas Kencana where Susilo will join him and deliver a speech. Susilo himself had been bestowed with the Malaysian scouting movement's highest honours.

Pramuka Chief Prof Dr Azrul Azwar said Abdullah will also be delivering a speech at the ceremony which would further enhance the cordial ties and cooperation between the Malaysian and Indonesian scouting movements. Malaysian scout leaders attending the function will be headed by its chief Datuk Seri Dr Shafie Mohd Salleh.

Abdullah will be feted to a dinner by Pramuka, Wednesday night. (Mohd Nasir Yusoff, Bernama)

what ever happened to Baden Powell's 'Be Prepared', not 'Go ZZZ' which Bedol practises ALL the time. An award for doing nothing. wow.
