Yet Another Deviant Islamic Movement.
Another suspected deviant movement has surfaced in the Klang Valley, targeting young professionals and charging "members" exorbitant fees.
Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) public relations officer Fakrul Azam Yahya said Monday the movement, Gerakan Pemuda Khafi, was believed to have started three years ago.
"The leaders are very sleek. They dress well to approach their potential victims," he added.
Information on this movement, he said, showed that the "victims" were told to pay a fee of RM1,000 to undergo training and induction.
"Another suspicious thing is, the 'victims' are blindfolded when transported to the movement’s training centres," Fakrul told reporters here Monday.
He added Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM) first highlighted the movement's existence early last year. Since then, groups of people had also complained to Jais, alleging they had been tricked into parting with their money when joining this movement. (TheStar)
"We do not know who the leaders are. We request more people to come forward and furnish us with information. It is believed Gerakan Pemuda Khafi has its own version of the holy book, based on its interpretation of the Quran," said Fakrul.

I am actully trying to understand the statement that "there have been groups of people who had complained to JAIS that they have been tricked into paying lots of money when joining the movement"!
1. so, their grouse/complaints with JAIS is that they lost money and not the deviant movement
2. when people joined a GROUP, do or act on certain stuffs as required by the group on thier own free will, THEY ARE VICTIMS and not FOOLS!
BTw, OUT OF 7 PATAGRAPHS, ONLY IN THE LAST PARAGRAPH DID A REFERENCE WAS MADE TO THE DEVIANT TEACHING OF THE GROUP AND EVEN THAT THERE IS NOT SUBTIANTED
why dont the authorities have faith in muslims? let them decide what they want to believe in, they are adults after all! It is not as if they have a gun pointed at their heads and forced to join and believe the teachings. The problem with the teaching of religion (and most other things) is that people are forced to follow certain edicts and rules, and not made to think for themselves.
osim, it is an obligation on the part of a moslem.
having said that, if ALL moslems have the brain, the mind and the intelligent to do and act the right thing, we wont have this example!
This problem is not just limited to deviant teachings but cut across all part of lives eg. being cheated of one savings for the dumbest of things. There are many IGNORANT, dumb, stupid, gullible etcetc people out there my dear osim!
