Remove Racists From The Education Department.
The Negri Sembilan Education Department has been directed to retract its circular on qualifications for “special classes” in three schools based on a racial quota.
The circular, dated Oct 31, indicated that the enrolment for the classes would comprise 90% bumiputra and 10% non-bumiputra with the latter having to score seven As in the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR).
The schools concerned are SMK Tuanku Besar in Tampin, SMK Tuanku Mohamed in Kuala Pilah and SMK King George V in Seremban.
Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the circular was against the ministry’s policy of inculcating integration in national schools.
It is learnt that the state Education Department did not consult the ministry before issuing the circular.
***** Retracting the offending circular is not the end of it. Racists may be deluded but they are also determined people. They are mentally ill in a manner of speaking and should be sent for appropriate treatment. For a start remove them from their present posts and send them to a department where even they can't create much problems. Alternatively place them in an environment in which they are exposed to people of different ethnic groups on an equal footing and not in a position, where from on high they can make rabid pronouncements or take irrational decisions. Only such exposure can make them realize that all humans are basically the same and the differences we choose to give importance to, are at best superficial and man-made.
It's about time that matters pertaining to race and religion are dealt with not only in a fair and rational manner by the powers that be, but also in a way that encourages and inspires confidence among the general public. Racists of whatever bent and mold are still racists no matter how you rationalize or try to explain it away.

Actually sick and tired of these issues..Why these issues were not happening those days,and if they did happen, why it was not as rampant as it is now...What is going trough with our education system...If this things are truly happening,till the sun burns out ,there will be no Bangsa Malaysia...
Is this the new national curriculum in mind..But at least, the national body did something right this time..Nipping it in the nick of time,or did it...?
Any way this things should not be allowed to creep to other educationalist, as at the present moment, this cases are still a few..but cancer do grow from a single cell..
So for the good of our nation,ourselves,our future generation...the governing body,our dear educationalist,the people..we must join hand so we can move forward in communion rather individually..It takes millions drop of water to make a cup of coffee...
I don't think that will do anything. If at all we should stop politicising education first. Only then we can move towards a first class education system
is anyone really honestly surprised?
