The 'Ode' Of A Sycophantic Toady.
Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu expressed his admiration and support for Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in a poem which he penned in Tamil.
The poem was in conjunction with Abdullah's third year in office as prime minister.
Following is the translated version of the poem:
Dear Pak Lah,
A man with serene and radiant personality,
heart filled with courage and dignity,
He speaks compassionately,
Preserving the nation's sanctity is his priority,
He is Prime Minister Abdullah,
Known by the name Pak Lah,
A historic election victory became his feat,
And news of his triumph became a hit,
Strong, caring, free, life, there's no doubt,
That's what he is all about,
A man with practical judgment and stimulating moves,
Loved and respected by Malaysians in droves,
A man who sees no discrimination,
But fights for all with determination,
Being the fifth Prime Minister,
He is the icon of unity,
Advancement and development are his foundation,
A progressive nation is his destination,
A distinction as a multi-racial leader,
Ensures everyone moves up the ladder,
Enforcer of rules and regulations,
He formed the Police Commission,
A man who upholds equality and integrity,
A leader who seeks the truth and conformity,
He will represent you, not resent you,
He will honour you, not dishonour you,
He will stand by you, and walk by you,
He cares for you, and shares with you,
He is unique and cherished,
For the rakyat is his life line,
In reaching unity, objectivity and humanity,
Makes him profound and respected,
In the eyes of the nation,
It is with great inspiration,
That I compose this dedication,
And call on a certain incarnation,
Which should prove to be a sensation.

**** Oh boy!! The depths to which some of these apple-polishers will sink to, in order to preserve their interests. But then again currying favour and licking boots is Samy Vellu's style. Datuk Subra refused to do that, and look what happened to him?

Reminds me of the antics of one Ling fella who used to polish a fellow doctor's boots.
But Anak Merdeka, at least Ling exited with some dignity intact. Our poet if given a chance may even sing a karaoke tune or two in praise of Pak Lah.

I read it with amazement
This low-brow testament
Where each two lines rhyme
Time after every bloody time
Poetry is real easy
Especially if it's cheesy
All you need's a thesaurus
And a sense of the superfluous
So to uncle Samy we ask
In fact, take him to task,
Why bother with the flattery
Such ridiculous buffoonery
Isn't it time to bid farewell
Before you drag us closer to hell?
Or is it that you're scared to leave
And that your head needs a brand new weave?
My, what talent Walski!! You have my vote for Poet-Adviser-in-Chief of the MIC. After Semi-Value's poem that's probably the shortest and fastest route to land a Datukship!
This Semi Value is so shameless, I bet that if Dr Mahathir comes back to power , he will quickly abandon AAB like plague and go licking Dr Mahathir's arse.

You know what's interesting?
It is highly possible, and probable too, that the poem was not penned by Mr S.V. himself. After all, what senior politician doesn't have an army of apple-polishers armed with pens to help sway public opinion in his favour?
