Good Start For New Audi A3 Sportback
Euromobil Sdn Bhd, distributor of the Audi marque in Malaysia, has received about 30 to 40 enquiries for its newly launched five-door A3 Sportback. "It is a good start for us. In fact, we have already secured four orders," Euromobil's national sales manager P. Kulendran told Bernama during the launch of the new model yesterday.
He said the company which was distributing four sports car models, including the new A3 Sportback, has an annual sales target of 500 units for its sports and coupe cars. Characterised by the sporting elegance of a coupe and the versatility of a five-door vehicle, the A3 Sportback exudes sophisticated technology and well-defined driving dynamics, according to the company.
The model is available in two engine variants, with the 2.0 FSI retailing at RM225,000 and the 2.0TFSI with S-Tronic transmission priced at RM255,000.
Euromobil's chairman Datuk Syed Hisham Syed Wazir said the A3 Sportback was a significant addition to the company's existing offerings. "We believe it provides an opportunity for customers to own an Audi at the entry level or as a second car," he said.
Syed Hisham said the A3 Sportback was targeted at a niche segment, including young, successful and discerning individuals and couples wishing for a car with fascinating technical features and sporting performance. "It will also appeal to modern households and families with young children, giving preference to a vehicle with exceptional character and innovation in technology and design combined with space and practicality," he said.
Euromobil is organising roadshows nationwide until the end of this year to promote the A3 Sportback. Syed Hisham also said that the company would introduce a new design for the Audi TT sports car next year and the Audi Q7, a seven-seater luxury sports utility vehicle.
Euromobil also introduced another engine variant for its Audi A4 model, equipped with an 1.8-litre inline four-cylinder unit.
The new Audi A4 1.8T retails at RM235,000.
