Malaysian Civil Service Is 'Colour Blind', Says Pak Lah. Is This True?

Although the Malaysian civil service is dominated by a single race, it is "colour blind", Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said today, adding that efforts were underway to increase non-Malay participation in the service to reflect the true racial composition of the nation.

"We are doing everything we can to increase the participation of non-Malays in the civil service. We do not have enough non-Malays in some areas of the civil service. But we have other forms or mechanisms to include the views of non-Malays in our policy-making process.

"One example is the Anti-Inflation Council which includes private sector participation. Members are made up of Malays as well as non-Malays. We want the views of all Malaysians in policy decisions. We are creating these sort of institutions so that the policies would be for all Malaysians and not only for a single race," he said when fielding questions at the 2nd Annual Malaysian Student Leaders Summit, here.

Abdullah said the government acknowledged that the civil service was dominated by a single race and that the government did not want this to continue in the long run. (You can read the whole hype HERE)

***** Pathetic explanation and justification by the PM, to put it mildly. This fairy tale of increasing non-Malay participation in the civil service has been recited too often and frankly no one believes it. Neither Umno nor its president have the inclination, courage or the political will to restore the fair ethnic balance in the public service.

Colour blind, my foot. My niece was a nurse in KLGH and was deprived of a promotion despite meeting all creteria. Her superior was truly colour blind but she can still differentiate between fair and dark skin complexion. She was so dissappointed and went to Singapore TanTock Seng Hospital. Early this year, she accepted an offer in London as Chief nurse. Do you think she wants to come back even if Dtk Liow begs her? Other countries are really enjoyed our BN-UMNO unwanted Malaysian talent. Truly Malaysia Tak Boleh.
I adviced my niece to forget Malaysia and get a British citizenship for the sake of her future generation.

Good ol'Pak Lah loves to tell fairy tales.. or maybe he genuinely believes them himself. Maybe he is the wolf in grandma's clothes trying to snare Red Riding Hood!
Of course, MCS is colour blind...they can only see one colour!

Color blind? Start by doing away with race-based political parties and only then can we truly say that we are color-blind. As it is, we are all blind to the racial imbalance in the civil service and our pm is blind to the fact that he should have had step down earlier.

About 10 years ago, I had the "privilege" of meeting a gentleman who claimed that he would be the last Chinese person working in SOCSO. Apparently he had done his research, and this guy - in his mid-30s then, said that there had been no other Chinese person taken into SOCSO since his employment.

I don't know if this is still the case, 10 years on but that was the situation then.

Ethnic cleansing is a different way ?

Anonymous,
It just goes to show you how stupid Badawi is, he says the civil service is colour blind. Badawi is not only stupid, he is dumb as well and whenever he opens his mouth only shit comes out. What is PR waiting for, time to go for no confidence vote on him in Parliament. We cannot afford to continue having an established confirmed idiot running the country. I hate to agree with Mahatir but it is proven he has made a grave mistake putting Badawi up there. Colour blind my ass Mr Badawi!!you and your lot only see one colour, that is colour of money. Your days are numbered, people do not care for you anymore, you should learn to read the blogs daily and see what people think of you instead of sleeping all day and all night.
Shit PM!!

Bodohwi is not that stupid, the danger is:

we become more stupid by believing him.

The Art of war has many strategies to defeat enemies but Bodohwi has his unique own. By behaving like a piece of shit, stinking and lying on the ground, blind, dumb and deaf to everything, he gets away with everything. That tactic is not listed in the art of war.
