Najib Hopes Bumis Can Stand On Their Own. But Will You Let Them?
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Tuesday expressed the hope that the Bumiputeras can stand on their own without government's help.
"The day will come when the Bumiputeras will say: look we are ready, we want to compete and we do not want any more privileges from the government, and I will welcome that day.
"I want to see only deserving Bumiputeras getting help. I don't want to see undeserving Bumiputeras getting help because I think it is a waste of money and time," he said when giving the summary of discussions and conclusions at the Khazanah National Development seminar.
In helping the Malays in business, Najib said the government would only help those who have the competency and the right attitude to do business.
"I feel if we want to help them (the Malays) in business, we must help the deserving ones. There is tendency for us to help those whom we know rather than the ones who knows how (to do business)," he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also reminded Malaysians to adopt the "Bangsa Malaysia" concept as part of their life.
"The concept of Bangsa Malaysia is in the mind. If we look at someone, we must see the strength of the character, quality of the personality, not the skin colour, then we have achieved the concept of Bangsa Malaysia," he said.
On complaints from foreigners that Malaysia was too laid-back, Najib urged Malaysians to be more assertive, productive and hardworking to erase the perception.
"We are now 26th in the list of most-competitive nation and why can't we be No 10 by 2020. Why not? Go for it," he said.
***** Even if most of the bumis were to fall on their knees and plead to be allowed to stand on their own, the perjuangan specialists in Umno will still make the necessary hollow moves to 'struggle' for the 'rakyat' demi bangsa agama dan negara. You see, if not for the continued perpetuation of the Never Ending Policy ad infinitum, Umno loses its raison d'etre to continue enjoying political power. Never mind that it is the umnoputera who has garnered most of the fruits of their so-called struggle.

Najis talking through his anus as general elections draw closer.
helping the competent bumis..sure..like kuala dimensi. you forgot DPM, its more like helping connected rather than competent bumis to screw the rakyat.
Simple. Just remove the crutch and let them start learning to stand if you really eant them to stand on their own. But, I don't think that is a good idea for UMNO. Becos if they realy know how to stand, they will surely forsake UMNO. The reason why they could not stand on their own is simply becos UMNO doesn't want them to.
load of bulls#*t.after 50 years still can't stand on its own.
are bumis born paralyse or retard?
