Is The Islamic Religious Department Only Going After 'Soft' Targets?

What prompted me to write this post was a comment I read in Malaysia Today which responded to an article on a khalwat raid at Langkawi recently. The commenter who calls himself 'cynical cynic' had this to say about our religious department 'guardians' of morality.......

"I actually support the action by Jabatan Agama Islam in trying to prevent immoral behavior. In fact they did not go far enough..
Since these people are so Islamic, what they should also do is to raid and close down countless number of prostitution rings owned by various triad gangs in our country, who abuse and prey on helpless women to turn them into prostitutes. These Malaysian triads are so powerful and vicious that they even have presence in Europe. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/...

Ironically though, there does not seem to be much activity by JAIS on this side. Of course, these officers may have to risk getting hit or shot by these gangsters in order to rescue these abused women but this should not be a deterrent as they are doing God's work.

Instead what we always have is the low risk raids at condominiums where the most significant impact they can achieve is to annoy an elderly American couple who are already married. Clearly not as heroic as rescuing scores of abused women who have been imprisoned by the triads for years.

This is what I really don't understand. To suggest that these JAIS officers as frightened of the triads is completely untrue because we all know that these officers are very alim and do not fear anyone but God. And yet KL is littered with sex establishments, where some women are abused on a daily basis and forced to serve up to 10 men day. Perhaps somebody from JAIS can enlighten me why these places are not raided and these women rescued, if they are truly the servants of God as they claim to be."
***** Hmmm.... So are the enforcement people actually targeting easy prey or perhaps their more risky work along with the police is not being publicized? I really can't say. Maybe someone in the know would like to enlighten us on the true situation.

my only comment for the moment is " is that the role and responsibility of JAIS as determined, or is it of another agency i.e. the police?. If it is the police, then CYNICAL CYNIC`s comment is just another rambling, redicule and a lame attempt of cynism of someone who is ignorant of the fact. If it is clearly JAIS`s function (which I doubt very much), then we await JAIS response to Cynic`s question !

Then what could be the JAIS function would be Mr.Warrior...Raiding foreigners and Non-Muslims is it...?
Then why don't leave the matter of raiding to the police in a whole and concentrate more on breads and biscuits which has anti-Islamic symbols...
