The Government Should Sack Jasin MP.

How long is the government going to put up with this embarrassment? The Jasin MP, Mohd Said Yusof has become a liability to the BN and Umno in particular.

Every time he opens his mouth he puts a litttle more of his two feet inside. His recent demands and complaints give the ruling party a bad name. It reflects poorly on the selection standards that Umno uses for it's MPs. Don't tell me that they are so hard up for talent that they have to depend on overtly selfish and greedy persons like him. It is a disgrace when the media has to remind him of his duties: MPs must serve the people, not air personal grouses

I wouldn't at all be surprised if there are many more like him sitting in Parliament who are more interested in feathering their nests than actually serving the people. To some of these opportunists, being a Member of Parliament is a passport which opens doors that were previously not accessible. "Make hay while the matahari shines" is their maxim. As long as they loot quietly there is no problem as we are ignorant of their exploits.

However when one of their ilk commits offence after offence and struts around proudly as if he has been wronged and has the temerity to even air his personal grouses in the media, then its about time that Umno should say "enough is enough" and sack him.

Sack a duly elected representative? What would the people of Jasin have to say about that idea?

What would the people of Jasin have to say? As Dr M once quipped, the people would even vote in a tree stump! Of course he was then referring to Pas voters. The same I think would apply to BN voters as well.
Sacking an elected rep would set the standard of accountability for the future and shore up badly needed credibility for the government.

correct me if i'm wrong, but umno can sack a member from the party but he remains an MP, albeit an independent one. he will only lose his elected MP position should he be convicted for wrongdoing & sentenced to a term of more than 6mths or fined above a certain amount. please enlighten me.
you're doing a good job with your blog.

You're right doc. Even if he's sacked he'll remain an MP.

That's the "close-one-eye" monkey who would demand for a Merc and not a national car, right? Just look at him ,the gall to abuse his powers, to close one eye, first denying then admitting to being the company in question, and like a sick cat cornered, taking a swipe at an already corrupted agency, to task them for reserving luxury cars to a priveledged few. Had he gotton hold of a Merc this would NOT have happened.
Why sack him ? Arrest him and try him like any common criminal. Afterall only he commits his crimes wearing a suit ! (and thats a difference !!)And we are the idiots for voting him in, yeah?
