"I'm The One In Sex DVD ," Says Chua Soi Lek!
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek having been caught red-handed and 'more' on tape, had no other choice but to admit that he was the politician in the sex DVD circulating in Johor. Reading a prepared statement at a press conference at the Labis MCA office here, the 60-year-old minister described the woman as a 'personal friend'.
He said he met Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yesterday to explain the matter and personally apologised to the prime minister.
Dr Chua said he had also met Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting over the matter.
He also apologised to the Malaysian public, supporters and his colleagues.
Meanwhile Dr Chua's wife said that she and the family supported him and they will go through this difficult time together as a family. They have three children.
The sex DVD had been circulating in Muar, Tangkak and Batu Pahat over the past few days and stories about the sex romp had been posted on several internet sites.
The existence of the DVD was first reported in the Chinese dailies on Sunday while a Bahasa Malaysia daily reported about it Monday.
Apparently he has said that he will not resign over the issue and instead will let the Prime Minister decide! What a lousy way to go. Once you've been caught with your pants down and on DVD at that, it is incumbent upon you to make a quick exit at the very earliest, like right now. By passing the buck to Pak Lah he is merely prolonging the issue and unnecessarily bringing the PM into the picture.
At the end of the day it is clear that he has to go. The MCA with its current standing and credibility already at an all-time low, can't afford to add to its list of woes.
Let's wait and see. Pity though. He's been a good Minister of Health. Unfortunately in this hypocritical world of ours it is OK to bilk billions from public funds but if you're caught with your fly unzipped or trousers rolled down, out you go.

Chua is very good minister but then he is a human too. Think about it: that human nature and occasional folly is just a common thing in life. No mortal is infallible. The only difference is he was exposed by his political foe, while other went off without being trapped by the enemy. I don't see why he should resign. Clinton did not resign either.
