Inquiry Confirms Irregularity In SJKC Kung Yu Repair. Will Hishamuddin Apologise To Ong Tee Keat?

So it looks like Datuk Ong Tee Keat was right after all. There was hanky panky and misappropriation of school renovation funds. This was irrefutably confirmed today.

That report here: Irregularity has taken place in the repair of the Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Kung Yu in Muar, Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said Sunday.

As such, he said, he would recommend action against the Public Works Department (PWD) officer and the contractor. However, that would depend on the final report to be prepared by PWD Deputy Director-General II Dr Judin Abd Karim in two weeks, he told reporters after opening the 13th Malaysian Indian Youth Council general meeting, here.

"I received a report from the PWD in Muar and I was not satisfied with it. So, I instructed Deputy Director-General II to investigate.

"His preliminary report shows the work carried out at the school did not adhere to procedure and there was an error in the payment," he said.

Samy Vellu explained that according to the preliminary report, the contractor had carried out work to the tune of between RM3,000 and RM4,000 while the allocation was RM29,500.

"We also found that much of the work was imperfect," he said.

He said the PWD Director-General could take action against the relevant PWD officer while the contractor would be referred to the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry for action.

Problems in the repair work were first raised by Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Ong Tee Keat last month, and he sparked off a controversy as he also chided the Education Ministry for failing to monitor the work.

**** After the gang-banging that Tee Keat got from all and sundry in the government for claiming that irregularities had taken place, I think he deserves at least an unreserved apology. Being part of the 'not favoured' team in MCA he wasn't given any support whatsoever by the leadership when he was being crucified. Shame on the MCA for that.

At the forefront in condemning him was the Minister of Education Hishamuddin who dismissed Ong's claims and questioned his motives while hastily arranging a modern-day lynching. Now that Ong has been proven to have told the truth will Hishamuddin eat crow, humble pie or both and say 'sorry' to Tee Keat? He should. After all he is the Education Minister and he must set a good example to all the students who will read about this in tomorrow's newspapers. Also this should serve as a good lesson for him to wait and get proper information before refuting any claim or running down another person by attributing ulterior motives to him.

Kerismuddin would offer no apology as it is right to relate this incident to yet another 'racial' challenge against AMNO. The school kids can go study in broken classrooms while Kerismuddin argues it's their privilege to fill AMNO coffers for the next G.E. siphoned from funds meant for schools.

How low can a parasite gets? I'm sure that will win him a place in Malaysia Book or Records.

This act alone could be compared to the pervert who fingers a 4 year child and gets only 1 bloody month!

to mob1900,

Immunity from legal persecution is accorded only within the parliament, but our boys carry these powers right into the s***-house.They are beyond anyone else ! How can they ask for an apology esp...someone who is not "AMNO" ? cos at the end of Ramadan it will be Maaf, Zohor, Batin.... only if you are in "AMNO"...then semuanya ok !!
